Snapchat+ subscribers can now use AI to generate or extend images within the app

Snapchat’s latest update introduces new AI features for its subscribers, enhancing the app’s practicality. With the “zoom out” function, users can extend images effortlessly, offering a quick solution for close-up snapshots. The updated My AI also allows subscribers to generate Snaps by typing prompts, enabling easy creation of images based on user input.

Additionally, the Dreams feature has been expanded to include the generation of fantastical portraits featuring friends. Snapchat+ subscribers receive a monthly pack of eight Dreams selfies, while non-subscribers can try one free pack before considering the $4-a-month subscription. Snap’s continuous investment in AI appears to be successful, as its subscriber count has increased from five million in September to seven million, bringing it closer to the ten million “medium-term goal” set by CEO Evan Spiegel in April. To stay competitive, Snap aims to consistently introduce new AI-powered tools to keep its platform engaging and innovative.
