If you read one Twitter thread today, make it this one from my friend Blake Scott Ball. Historian and author of Charlie Brown’s America: The Popular Politics of Peanuts, Ball just finished writing his Ph.D. dissertation on Snoopy and Charlie Brown. His wonderful thread commemorates Veterans Day by cataloguing the annual celebration of the holiday in the Peanuts comic strip, whose author, Charles M. Schulz, was a World War II vet.
