After winning the first two games of the American League Championship Series, the Texas Rangers are the betting favorites to win the World Series.
Texas’ odds to win the Fall Classic shortened to +110 from +190 after beating the Houston Astros in Game 2 on Monday.
Right behind the Rangers are the Philadelphia Phillies, who won Game 1 of the National League Championship Series against the Arizona Diamondbacks on Monday night.

The Phillies are at +140 after winning Game 1 of the NLCS.
Prior to the ALCS opener, defending champion Houston was the +185 betting favorite to win the Fall Classic, but now sit at +800. The Astros were at +310.prior to Game 2.
Texas — one of six MLB franchises to not win a World Series — was at +300 prior to Game 1.

FOX Sports MLB Betting Analyst Will Hill says during such a competitive postseason, Houston has an advantage over the other teams.
“While there is certainly an intangible with the Astros and a reason they win year after year, there is also a tangible advantage that I think will be the difference in this series: the bullpen,” Hill said.
“The Astros had the sixth-best bullpen ERA this season (3.56), while the Rangers were 24th (4.77). These teams had identical records, playing in the same division. With two teams so evenly matched, the bullpens are often what decides these close games.”
